Fairule Cottages are steeped in history, originally it was one large property, then three and now two! It was original the home of the many farm workers who were required to manage the farm before modern day machinery arrived.
Both properties sleep 4 with an optional 5th bed pull out bed which is slightly smaller the standard 3ft single, adults are welcome to use this bed however we suggest it’s more suitable for a child.
The properties have an interconnecting ‘sound proof’ locked door. There is an option for the cottages to be taken as one property with this door open.
NO.1 FAIRULE
This is a slighter larger cottage of the two, with a spacious master bedroom that can be either a superking double or twin with a pull out bed underneath the main bed. Should you require the 5th bed there is a small charge of £20 per stay. The second bedroom offer full size bunkbeds. The bathroom has a large bath and standalone shower and heated towel rails.
The kitchen has a large fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, electric cooker / hob and a seating area with bar stools. The kitchen opens out onto a patio with outdoor seating, parasol alongside the hot tub with fairy lighting for those dark nights. The views are exceptions! Sparky the 33yo Shetland pony resides in the paddock next the house and loves to come and say hello.
The large enclosed (but I would say fully dog proof) garden sits at the side of the property with off road parking for two cars.

NO.2 FAIRULE
Has been meticulously renovated over the Spring of 2021 and will be ready for mid July. The property has an beautifully lit open plan kitchen / living area with exposed beams and log burning stove. The well equipped kitchen area has a large fridge / freezer, huge electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. There is seating for five around the kitchen island.
The two equally sized bedrooms have superking doubles that can be split into twin beds on request. The bathroom offers a large bath and standalone bath.
This property has underfloor heating throughout that can be controlled within each room.
At the side of the property there is a patio area with outdoor seating and parasol with views towards Ruberslaw. The large garden leads to a private hot tub area. The garden is enclosed but not fully dog proof for escape artists! There is offstreet parking for two cars.
